BaxtR
BaxtR is a self-taught artist from the greater Vienna area (b. 1996 in Vienna) working within the field of abstract art, with a focus on abstract calligraphy and calligraffiti, inspired by street art and urban textures. This also involves repurposing and recycling objects or painting grounds as one of the means of his practice.
The works themselves are the result of the impulsive transfer of emotions in the form of abstracted and also asemic writing as well as abstract signs. Not overtly legible as such per se, they nevertheless convey the creator’s very own emotional worlds. Applying them in layers, scraping them off and overlaying the resulting levels visualise the inner chaos and make it tangible.
